Finish host account setup

After TEKControl creates your account, it signs you in and opens Set contact preferences. You can save this information now or select Skip for now and update it later from Profile Settings.

Add contact phone numbers

The site controls which phone-number types appear. For each relevant type, enter the number and optional description. Use Order to control the display sequence when your site uses multiple numbers.

  • Notify identifies a number security can use for host notifications or contact workflows.
  • Directory? marks a number for the host directory when that module is enabled.

Only one nonblank number can be marked Directory?. Phone numbers must use the format accepted by the site; enter digits and, when needed, a leading + for an international number.

Warning

Clearing a previously saved phone number and selecting Finish setup removes that phone entry. Review each row before saving.

Choose notification preferences

Select the email and SMS messages you want to receive. Depending on your site's modules and account type, choices can include:

  • announcements and alerts;
  • visitor arrival;
  • visitor departure;
  • visitor denial; and
  • packages.

A missing choice is usually unavailable for the site, host type, or account. SMS selections require a usable mobile number in the appropriate host phone field.

Finish or skip

Select Finish setup to validate the phone numbers, save phone and notification changes, and open the host dashboard.

Select Skip for now to open the dashboard without saving changes made on this page. You can later open your profile picture or initials, select Profile Settings, and maintain contact information and notifications there.
