Site security and notification policy

Password Policy

The Password Policy tab is available to Global Client Admin-level users. Configure:

  • minimum password length;
  • number of days a password remains valid;
  • restricted dictionary words;
  • minimum one digit;
  • minimum one lowercase letter;
  • minimum one uppercase letter;
  • minimum one special character; and
  • no whitespace.

The policy is created for a site that does not yet have one and updated otherwise when the main Save button is selected. Minimum length and days valid must contain values that can be stored as integers.

Coordinate tighter rules with account-invite, password-reset, integrations, kiosks, and support procedures. Test with a non-production account before broad rollout.

Notification Templates

Choose a template from the selector, then edit its email subject, rich-text email body, and SMS text when that channel is supported. The available templates cover:

  • host registration and successful registration;
  • watchlist notifications;
  • visitor ePass;
  • pre-registration form invitation, submitted, verified, approved, and denied stages;
  • custom triggers;
  • host citations;
  • health alerts; and
  • health recovery.

Template edits are saved with the main site Save button, not when switching the template selector. Review every edited template before leaving the dialog.

Use approved placeholders exactly as your existing templates and delivery services expect. Send test messages through the corresponding workflow and check both HTML and plain/SMS presentation. Do not include passwords, full credentials, unnecessary PII, or confidential watchlist information.

Warning

A syntactically saved template can still produce broken links, unresolved placeholders, or messages that exceed SMS limits. Portal save success does not verify delivery.
