Review a registered device¶
Open a device from the inventory to review its recorded identity, hardware details, and recent login information.
Understand the fields¶
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Site Name | Site currently associated with the device record |
| Device Name | Administrator-managed display name |
| Device UID | Registered unique device identifier |
| Created Date | Time the device record was created, displayed in the site's time zone |
| IMEI | Recorded mobile-equipment identifier, when supplied |
| Phone Number | Recorded device or service number, when supplied |
| Last Login Date | Most recent recorded device login, displayed in the site's time zone |
| Last Login User | User associated with that recorded login, when available |
| Make / Model | Recorded hardware manufacturer and model |
| Firmware | Recorded firmware or software version value |
All fields except Device Name are read-only on this screen. They reflect data supplied through registration or device activity and cannot be corrected here.
Rename the device¶
Enter a required, recognizable Device Name, then select Save. Use a naming convention that identifies the physical unit or deployment location without embedding passwords, access codes, personal data, or other secrets. Keep the name concise; the stored device-name field supports up to 50 characters.
Renaming changes only the display label. It does not change the device UID, site, post, IMEI, phone number, hardware values, registration, or authorization.
Verify identity before using the record¶
Compare more than the display name when investigating or dispatching support. Match the device UID and, where appropriate, IMEI, make, model, site, and last-login information against the physical device or approved deployment record.
Do not treat a recent login user as proof of physical custody. It is the last user recorded with device activity and may not identify the person currently holding the unit.
Note
Device Administration records are distinct from site device-configuration and access-control hardware settings. A registered mobile device appearing here does not mean every reader, panel, integration, or field-device configuration is complete.
