Active health alerts

Open General Administration and select Health Notifications. The Active Alerts tab shows unresolved target- and component-level alerts for sites you are allowed to administer. It displays the newest 500 matching alerts.

Find an alert

Filter by site, alert status, target type, condition level, component, or search. Condition level distinguishes an overall target alert from a component alert. Search can match target, site, component, rule, and alert details.

The grid shows the current status, target, site, condition, component, first and last detection, last and next notice, acknowledgment, suppression, and summary. Use First Detected to understand duration and Last Detected to confirm that the condition is still being observed.

Acknowledge selected alerts

Acknowledgment records the current administrator and the acknowledgment time on each selected unresolved alert. Use it to communicate ownership or awareness.

1. Select one or more alert rows.
2. Select Acknowledge Selected.
3. Refresh or review the acknowledgment columns to confirm the change.

Warning

Acknowledgment does not resolve the alert, repair the target, or stop future notices by itself. The action has no confirmation prompt.

There is no manual Resolve action in this screen. Resolution is driven by the target's subsequent reported health and the notification process.

Suppress an alert for one hour

Suppression postpones notifications for one selected unresolved alert until one hour after the action.

1. Select exactly one alert.
2. Select Suppress 1 Hour.
3. Verify Suppressed Until.

Suppression is alert-specific. It does not silence other alerts from the same target, disable the matching rule, create a maintenance window, or resolve the underlying condition. The action has no confirmation prompt.

Use one-hour suppression for a known, actively managed condition. For planned work affecting multiple alerts or a longer period, use a maintenance window and ensure the applicable rules allow maintenance suppression.

Respond safely

1. Open the target in Health Monitor and confirm its identity and effective status.
2. Inspect its components and recent events.
3. Acknowledge the alert when someone accepts responsibility for investigation.
4. Suppress it only when repeated notices would add no value during active work.
5. Correct the device, service, dependency, network, or configuration issue.
6. Verify a fresh heartbeat and recovery state rather than relying on silence alone.
7. Review Deliveries if an expected recipient did not receive a notice.

An alert disappearing from Active Alerts generally means it is no longer unresolved. If that conflicts with field observations, check the target's current heartbeat, rule matching, event history, and reporting source before assuming recovery.
