Platform settings¶
Platform Settings contains global configuration that can affect multiple clients, sites, users, integrations, and public-facing experiences. These tools are intended for platform administrators.
| Area | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Branding and SAML | Portal titles, host names, resource links, logos, feature rollouts, and identity-provider integration. |
| Report templates | Uploaded report definitions, module placement, portal visibility, and client/site assignments. |
| Maintenance notifications | Rich-text platform maintenance notices. |
| Voicemail branding | Phone-number-specific spoken welcome messages. |
| Central stations | SIP connectivity, dialing rules, time zone, owning client, and covered sites. |
| Dynamic dashboard panels | Administrator-defined charts and grids backed by database queries. |
Change-control workflow¶
- Record the existing configuration and affected scope.
- Confirm the change owner, approval, maintenance window, and rollback method.
- Make the smallest required edit.
- Save once and reopen the record to verify persistence.
- Test with a non-administrator account in the intended client, site, module, and identity context.
- Verify external systems such as the identity provider, SIP service, report engine, or dashboard query separately.
- Preserve audit and deployment evidence.
Warning
Several editors save the primary record before saving its assets or assignments. A later failure can leave a partially applied change. Always reopen and verify the main record, uploaded content, and every assignment after an error.
Selecting another item can replace the form without an unsaved-change warning. Save or deliberately discard the current edit before changing the Items selection.
