Driver pre-registration troubleshooting¶
The link does not open the form¶
Open the complete link directly from the original message. Copying only part of it can remove the encrypted launch value TEKControl needs.
If the page says the link is invalid, the user is not valid, the carrier cannot be found, or the form is not configured correctly, ask the site or carrier contact to create and send a new link. Signing in to the main portal does not repair a public registration link.
Do not alter the characters after launch= and do not share a failing link in a public support message. Provide the site name, carrier, driver name, time of the attempt, and the exact on-screen message instead.
The form says required information is missing¶
Confirm all of the following:
- Driver Name has a value;
- Driver's License Number has a value;
- Driver Address has a value;
- at least one document is listed and is not marked for removal; and
- the disclaimer agreement checkbox is selected.
Optional contact and date fields may still be required by the site's business process even when the form does not mark them as mandatory.
A document will not upload¶
Use an application, image, or text file with a normal filename extension. If a device offers a cloud placeholder, download the file to the device first and then select the local copy.
Try these checks:
- Confirm that fewer than 25 files have been selected.
- Wait for each upload to finish and look for its success message.
- Shorten an unusually long filename and remove special characters.
- Try a common format such as PDF, JPG, PNG, DOCX, XLSX, or TXT.
- Retry on a stable connection or in a current browser.
If the filename is visible but struck through, select Undo Remove. A removed file does not count toward the one-document minimum.
A selected file disappeared¶
New uploads are held in the current page until a successful save. Reloading, using the browser's Back button, closing the tab, or reopening the link can clear unsaved files. Select the file again and wait for its uploaded-success message before saving.
Previously saved documents should return when a link for the existing driver is reopened. If one is missing, contact the site before submitting replacement or duplicate files.
Save reports a problem¶
Keep the page open and note the exact message and time. A failure can occur while saving driver details, storing documents, or sending a configured notification. Some earlier portions of the operation may already have completed.
Avoid repeatedly selecting Save or uploading the same documents without checking. Contact the site or carrier and ask them to confirm whether the driver record and files were received. If they confirm nothing was saved, retry once from the original link on a stable connection.
The success message appeared, but no approval arrived¶
Driver registration submitted for approval confirms submission, not approval. Review can be manual, and emails depend on the site's workflow, recipient configuration, and notification templates.
Contact the site or carrier for status. Do not submit duplicate registrations solely because an email did not arrive.
Saved information is wrong¶
If the original link reopens the driver, correct the displayed values, review the active documents, accept the disclaimer again, and save. For a wrong carrier, wrong site, duplicate driver, or document that should not have been shared, stop and contact the site so staff can correct the record safely.
