Flags and response¶
Choose View Entry Flags from a Watchlist row to review the decisions previously recorded for that entry. Flags are created when an operator responds to a watchlist match in an access workflow.
Read the decision history¶
Each flag shows:
- Allowed or Denied;
- the date and time in the selected site's time zone;
- the user who made the decision.
The newest decision appears first. If the entry has never been acted on, the dialog states that no flags have been recorded.
An Allowed flag means the operator permitted the transaction after the match was presented. A Denied flag means the operator did not permit it. A flag records the decision; it does not by itself explain the surrounding circumstances or prove that the person or vehicle was correctly identified.
Use flags during review¶
Use the history to identify patterns and answer operational questions such as:
- whether the same entry has been presented before;
- how previous operators responded;
- when and where follow-up may be needed;
- who can provide context for a prior decision.
Review the entry details and any related operational record before relying on an earlier outcome. Current conditions, credentials, policies, or identity evidence may differ from the earlier event.
Correct or investigate a questionable decision¶
The flags dialog is read-only; it does not edit or delete decisions. Preserve the audit trail and follow your organization's incident, supervisor, or support process if a decision appears incorrect. Record any required explanation in the appropriate operational record rather than changing the watchlist profile solely to rationalize a past decision.
Important
Previous decisions are context, not an automatic instruction. Apply the current site's policy and evaluate the current match on its own evidence.
