Admit, depart, scan, and print

Admission and departure update the record's operational state and record the active working post. These actions require an eligible role and a selected logistics working post.

Select the working post

Use the post-change action and choose the station where you are operating. The working post determines available departure, scanning, printing, signature, revenue, watchlist, and inspection features.

The Post field inside the filter panel is only a grid filter. Changing it does not change the post used for Admit or Depart.

Admit a record

For a fully reviewed admission, open the record, complete the arrival tabs, and select Admit. TEKControl validates configured arrival fields, records the admission time and working post, and can apply related watchlist, notification, access, cargo, or pass behavior configured for the site.

Authorized users can also choose Admit from the row menu. This is a direct processing action; use the form first when inspection details, images, signatures, or corrections are still required.

Depart a record

Open the record, complete the departure tabs, and select Depart. Departure is available only when enabled for the working post. TEKControl validates the outbound fields and records the departure time and post.

The row-menu Depart action also processes the record directly. Verify outbound inspection evidence before using it.

Scan a pass or license

When Scan Pass is available, select it to place focus in the scanner field; the indicator shows when TEKControl is ready. Scanning a numeric logistics pass locates the matching grid record. It does not itself admit or depart the record.

Driver-license scanning is available only where configured. In the main search it extracts the license number for a lookup; in the form it can populate supported driver details.

Print a pass

Where pass printing is enabled, the form offers print choices such as Save and Print or Admit and Print. Selecting a print choice initiates its named save or admit action as well as printing.

Warning

Admit and Print is not a print-preview-only choice. It processes admission. Confirm the record, working post, inspection, and printer selection before choosing it.
