Host bulk actions

Bulk actions apply one operation to every selected host. Some operations also affect family or household records.

Before applying an action

1. Narrow the grid with search and filters.
2. Select only the intended hosts.
3. Compare the Selected count with your expected scope.
4. Read the confirmation and result messages.
5. Refresh the grid and spot-check several affected records.

Available actions

Actions can include:

• Delete eligible host records
• Remove property associations
• Remove phone numbers
• Assign or remove post access
• Enable or disable directory listing
• Set or clear directory codes
• Change host type or status
• Update notification settings
• Create user accounts or send registration messages
• Activate or deactivate selected records

The available list depends on permissions, site configuration, and the selected records.

Externally managed hosts

An imported host managed by an external system may not be deletable in TEKControl. Make the change in the system of record or follow the site's integration procedure. Circumventing the restriction can allow the next import to recreate or overwrite the record.

Deletion and cleanup actions

Deleting hosts or removing phones, properties, or post access changes operational data for every selected record. Export or otherwise confirm the intended scope when the impact is difficult to reverse.
