Host properties¶
Property associations connect a host to the physical address, unit, lot, or location used by visitor, resident, directory, reporting, and other site workflows.
Associate an existing property¶
- Open the host and select Properties.
- In Associate Existing Properties, choose the property.
- Select Primary Property? when this is the host's main property.
- Select Add Existing Property.
- Confirm the property appears in Associated Properties.
Search carefully before creating a new property. Duplicate property records can split hosts and related activity across multiple addresses.
Create and associate a new-build property¶
Use this only when the correct property does not already exist.
- Enter the required Property Address.
- Enter a Lot Number when the development uses one.
- Choose the correct Property Street.
- Select Primary Property? when appropriate.
- Select Save and Add New Build Property.
- Confirm the new record in Associated Properties.
Choose the primary property¶
The primary property should represent the host's main site location. Before changing it, consider how the site uses the property for visitor routing, resident lookup, directory presentation, access, and reporting.
Warning
Removing or changing a property association can cause related workflows to stop finding the host under the previous property. Verify the result from Host Administration after saving.
