Filters and statistics¶
Speed Detection has separate controls for the event grid and the trend cards. Confirm whether Apply filters to stats is enabled before comparing a card with the visible rows.
Search the event grid¶
Choose a search field and enter text. The available fields are:
- Plate Number;
- Camera;
- Ticket;
- Speed Limit;
- Violating Speed;
- Association.
Association search resolves matching plates from site records. It can find active hosts by name, employee number, or property; visitors by name or associated host; and vendors by name, contact details, or address.
Set the date range and open the additional filters for:
- Site;
- Citation Type;
- Camera - only the site's Traffic Logix cameras;
- Citation Status - All, No Citation, or Citation Issued;
- Repeat Threshold - show plates with at least this many occurrences in the current result scope;
- Violating Speed - minimum detected speed, not miles per hour over the limit;
- Include Empty Plates - include events without a readable plate.
Unreadable or empty plates are excluded by default. Search-text changes update the grid; choose Apply or Refresh after changing additional filters. The initial date range begins two days before today and ends one day after today.
Reset clears repeat threshold, violating-speed threshold, citation type, camera, citation status, and Include Empty Plates. It keeps the site, search field and text, date range, and Apply Filters to Stats setting.
Interpret the statistics¶
The five cards show:
- Total Tickets - event volume by day;
- Average Over - average miles per hour above the recorded limit;
- Peak Hour - the site-local hour with the most events;
- Repeat Rate - percentage of events belonging to plates meeting the repeat threshold;
- Top Cameras - cameras with the most events.
With Apply filters to stats off, the cards use the selected site and a standard last-30-days window. Grid searches and additional filters do not narrow them.
With it on, the cards use the selected date range plus the search, empty-plate, violating-speed, citation-type, camera, and citation-status filters. The repeat-threshold value defines which plates count as repeat plates for Repeat Rate; the minimum effective repeat definition is two occurrences.
Select Refresh to reload both the grid and the five cards. Statistics load asynchronously and show a loading state while calculations complete.
Export responsibly¶
Select Export after confirming the selected site, date range, and filters. The export excludes image thumbnails and row actions but can contain plate, association, speed, citation, and timestamp data. Handle it under your organization's surveillance, privacy, and enforcement-data policy.
