Sources and filters

Access Events provides two source selectors. They answer different questions and can be used together.

Choose an event family

The first source selector identifies the system or business record that produced the event:

  • All;
  • Access Control;
  • LPR;
  • Visitors;
  • Logistics.

Changing this selector refreshes the grid and insight cards immediately.

Choose an access source

The second selector identifies how access was performed or recorded. Available values include:

  • standard access credentials;
  • LPR granted;
  • visitor or logistics admit;
  • mobile credential or virtual key;
  • remote open or Remote Guard open;
  • AllBox member ID, member PIN, directory-call open, or concierge open;
  • unknown source.

For example, select Visitors as the event family and Visitor Admit as the access source to isolate visitor-admission events. Choose All in either selector when that dimension should not restrict the results.

Filter by site equipment

Open the additional filters to use:

  • Site — limits activity to one site;
  • Post — limits events to a post available to your account;
  • Controller — limits physical access events to one controller;
  • Reader — limits physical access events to a reader; the available readers follow the selected controller;
  • Camera — limits LPR activity to one camera;
  • AllBox — limits supported AllBox access sources to one device.

Choices are populated from the equipment and modules configured for the selected site. A column or filter may have no values when its module is not available at that site.

Select Apply after changing filters in the additional-filter panel. Reset clears post, controller, reader, camera, and AllBox without changing the site, date range, event family, or access source.

Use the date range

The start and end dates are inclusive and use the selected site's time zone. If an end date is earlier than the start date, TEKControl corrects the end date to match the start.

If expected activity is missing, return both source selectors to All, clear the equipment filters, broaden the date range, and refresh.
