Access Control Transactions

The Access Control Transactions page is a read-only view of physical credential activity. Use it to investigate where and when a credential was presented, whether access was granted or denied, and which person or organization was associated with the credential.

Find transactions

The grid initially shows granted transactions for the selected site in a recent date range. Choose a search field, enter a value, and press Enter, or select Refresh. Available searches are:

  • Associated Person Name — searches the transaction's saved association and matching host, vendor, or alternate credential name;
  • Credential — searches the recorded credential number and the current credential record;
  • Transaction Type — searches event descriptions such as granted or denied event types.

Use the date selector to change the reporting period. Dates are interpreted in the selected site's time zone, and the grid displays the newest transaction first unless you choose another sort order.

Open the additional filters to select a site, location, reader, access result, or exact transaction type. A reader list depends on the selected location. See Filters and insights for how the transaction-type and insight filters interact.

Understand the grid

Each row can show:

  • Location — the recorded location, or the access-control system name when no location was recorded;
  • Description — the association saved with the transaction, falling back to the current credential association;
  • Transaction Date — the read date and time in the site's time zone;
  • Transaction Type — the access-control event reported by the integrated system;
  • Credential Number — the presented or resolved credential; select it for more information;
  • Credential Type — the type assigned to the matching credential record.

Use the column selector to show, hide, or rearrange available columns. Select Export after applying the intended filters to download the grid data.

Investigate a credential read

Select a credential number to inspect its current status, association, validity, access groups, schedules, and assigned access targets. If the transaction no longer matches a credential record, TEKControl instead shows the read details saved with the transaction.

See Credential and read details for a field-by-field explanation and common investigation steps.

Note

This page reports transactions received from the integrated access-control system. It does not grant access, edit credentials, or change access groups.
