Visitor passes and ePasses

TEKControl can issue printed passes, electronic passes, credential-backed passes, or site-specific pass types. Availability depends on the selected visitor type, pass type, site configuration, and your role.

  1. Open or create the visitor.
  2. Select the appropriate pass type when the selector is available.
  3. Verify the visitor, destination, expiration, and current working post.
  4. Select Save and Print or Admit and Print.

Some pass types require a charge or additional confirmation before printing. Bulk printing appears only for pass types configured to allow it.

Send an ePass

  1. Associate the visitor with a host.
  2. Enter a valid email address or phone number.
  3. Confirm the schedule and expiration window.
  4. Select Save and Send E-Pass.

If delivery fails, verify the contact value and confirm that ePasses are enabled for the site and selected pass type.

The visitor opens the public pass link on the phone and browser they will bring to the entrance. Some pass types bind to that first device, rotate their QR code, or require visitor payment before the code appears. Review issued passes

From Visitor Management, select Visitor Passes. Search or filter the list to review visitor name, pass type, issue date, expiration, issuer, active state, credential or pass number, charge, and notes.

Deactivate passes

  1. Select one or more active passes.
  2. Select Deactivate.
  3. Confirm the intended passes are no longer active.

Deactivation prevents further valid use but preserves the pass record for audit and history.

Note

Permanent passes can use special expiration behavior. Use the displayed active state—not expiration alone—to confirm whether a pass is usable.
