Add or edit a logistics inspection

Select Add New, double-click an existing row, or choose Edit. The form's fields and tabs are controlled by the selected site's and working post's configuration, so another site may require different information.

Complete general information

Enter the displayed driver, schedule, company, carrier, destination, credential, cargo, vehicle, and contact details. Required fields are marked in the form. A configured license scanner can populate supported driver-license information.

Existing records can contain a mixture of scheduled, arrival, and departure details. Verify that you are editing the correct phase before changing shared values.

Complete configured inspection tabs

Depending on the working post, the form can include:

  • arrival and departure truck information;
  • standard or 2019 CTPAT inspection checklists;
  • arrival and departure images;
  • driver and officer signatures for arrival and departure;
  • driver profile image;
  • revenue items;
  • documents for preregistration;
  • site-defined sections and custom fields.

Record observed conditions accurately. Use arrival tabs for admission evidence and departure tabs for outbound evidence. Do not copy arrival values into departure unless they were verified again at departure.

Add images, signatures, and documents

Use the image tabs to take or attach arrival and departure evidence and to review images already associated with the record. Signature tabs appear only when the post and fields permit signature capture; supported signature hardware may activate when you select a signature tab.

The Documents tab is available when preregistration is enabled. Uploaded files can be viewed and marked for removal before saving. Revenue controls appear only where revenue is enabled.

Choose the correct completion action

  • Save stores the record without changing its admit/depart state.
  • Admit validates the arrival portion and records admission at the working post.
  • Depart validates the departure portion and records departure at the working post.
  • A preregistration workflow button can initialize, verify, approve, or otherwise advance the configured status.
  • Deny is available during supported preregistration stages and requires the denial workflow.

See Admit, depart, scan, and print before using the operational buttons.

Important

TEKControl validates the fields that apply to the selected action. Correct all reported missing fields on every relevant tab before trying again.
