Live monitoring and insights¶
Use Access Events as a live operational timeline or as a historical review. The current date range and filters remain in effect during refreshes.
Enable automatic refresh¶
Select Auto refresh (10s) to refresh the event grid and insight cards every ten seconds. A countdown appears beside the option. Turn the option off when continuous updates are no longer needed.
Automatic refresh does not change the selected date range. New events appear only when they fall within that range, so include the current date when monitoring live activity.
Understand the insight cards¶
The cards show:
- Total Events and a recent daily-volume trend;
- Most Active Source;
- Source Mix;
- Peak Hour;
- Busiest Post.
By default, the cards summarize the selected site's last 30 days, independent of the grid's source, equipment, and custom date filters. Select Apply filters to stats, then apply or refresh, to make the cards use the current date range, event family, access source, post, controller, reader, camera, and AllBox filters.
Filtered card titles include (Filtered). The cards load independently and may briefly display a loading state after a manual or automatic refresh.
Review LPR images¶
LPR events can include a plate thumbnail. Select it to open all stored images for the underlying LPR transaction. Non-LPR events and LPR records without retrievable images leave this column blank.
Use the dedicated LPR Transactions page when you need plate and association-specific investigation tools.
Export a review period¶
Set the intended date, source, and equipment filters before selecting Export. The export reflects the event grid's current data scope; metric-card scope does not determine the export.
Tip
For a live station view, choose the site and post, keep the date range on today, enable automatic refresh, and apply filters to stats only if the cards should represent that same station-level scope.
