Filters and insights

Use the grid filters for individual investigations and the metric cards for activity patterns. The two areas use different scopes unless Apply filters to stats is selected.

Filter the transaction grid

Open the additional filters to use:

  • Site — limits results to a site where the LPR module is available;
  • Post — limits results to a post available to your account;
  • Camera — limits results to one site camera;
  • Watchlist Transactions — keeps only transactions flagged as watchlist matches;
  • Non-Associated Transactions — keeps only reads with no host, visitor, host vehicle, vendor employee, vendor vehicle, or watchlist association.

The date range includes the selected start and end dates. Select Apply or Refresh to reload the page.

Reset restores the site's default post, clears the camera, and turns off the watchlist and non-associated options without changing the site. Review the main search and date fields separately after resetting.

Understand the metric cards

The cards summarize:

  • Total Transactions — LPR volume over time;
  • Entity Type Mix — identified host, visitor, vendor, vehicle, watchlist, and unknown associations;
  • Top Plates — the most frequently recognized plate values;
  • Peak Hour — the busiest hour of the day;
  • Top Camera — cameras producing the most transactions.

By default, the cards summarize the selected site's last 30 days and do not follow the grid filters. Select Apply filters to stats, then apply or refresh, to use the selected date range, post, camera, and plate or associated-person search.

The Watchlist Transactions and Non-Associated Transactions checkboxes filter the grid only; they are not applied to the cards. Keep this difference in mind when comparing a filtered row count with a card value.

Tip

If you need trends for one post or camera, set the date and location filters first, enable Apply filters to stats, and then select Apply.

Troubleshoot missing results

If an expected read is missing:

  1. Confirm the site, post, camera, and date range.
  2. Clear the person or plate search.
  3. Turn off both transaction checkboxes.
  4. Refresh the page.
  5. If the transaction appears but has no association, verify the recognized characters against the plate image and the current vehicle records.
