Maintenance notifications¶
Maintenance Notifications stores rich-text notices intended for platform maintenance communication. Each existing entry is identified in Items by its creation date and time.
Open General Administration, locate General System Administration Settings, and select Maintenance Notification.
Create or edit a notice¶
- Choose Add New Item or select an existing creation time.
- Enter required Notes using concise, user-facing language.
- Review dates, time zones, expected impact, affected services, and support instructions.
- Select Save Item.
- Reopen the notice and verify the stored rich text.
Recommended content includes:
- maintenance start and expected end with time zone;
- affected portal, device, integration, or workflow;
- whether service is unavailable, degraded, or unaffected;
- actions users should avoid or retry later;
- approved status or support destination.
Avoid internal host names, credentials, incident-only details, raw stack traces, or unapproved HTML. The editor does not provide a separate end-user preview.
Warning
The current Active checkbox is not connected to the record saved by this dialog. Do not rely on it to publish or withdraw a notice. Verify actual notification behavior through the approved release/support process until that control is corrected.
Diagnostic controls¶
Existing notices expose RSA Encrypt Test, and the footer also contains a CryptoTest control. These are developer-oriented diagnostic helpers. They do not save, activate, publish, deliver, or validate the end-user notice.
Do not treat the displayed RSA test value as proof of end-to-end encryption, and do not place secrets in Notes for testing. Use approved cryptographic and integration tests outside the production notice text.
Delete a notice¶
Select an existing notice and choose Delete. A confirmation dialog appears. Deletion removes the record and is not an archive or deactivation action.
Before deleting, confirm that the notice is no longer required for active communication, evidence, audit, or support. Preserve approved wording elsewhere when policy requires it.
