Voicemail branding

Voicemail Branding associates a phone number with the welcome message callers should hear in the applicable voicemail workflow.

Open General Administration, locate General System Administration Settings, and select Voicemail Branding.

Create or edit an entry

  1. Choose Add New Item or select an existing phone number.
  2. Enter the required Phone Number in the exact format expected by the telephony integration.
  3. Enter the required Welcome Message.
  4. Review the wording aloud.
  5. Select Save Item.
  6. Reopen the entry and place a controlled test call.

The editor checks only that both fields are nonblank. It does not validate number format, uniqueness, provider ownership, routing, text-to-speech pronunciation, message length, or prohibited content.

Write for speech rather than for a screen:

  • identify the organization or service early;
  • use short sentences and pronounceable wording;
  • avoid URLs, unexplained abbreviations, and visual formatting;
  • give a clear next action;
  • include emergency limitations when required by policy;
  • avoid personal, confidential, or temporary troubleshooting details.

Phone-number formatting and caller routing are external to this editor. A successful save does not register the number with a provider or prove that calls reach this branding record.

Delete an entry

Select an existing number and choose Delete. The confirmation dialog appears before deletion. There is no inactive flag.

Before deleting, confirm that no provider route, escalation, client, site, or published contact path still uses the number. Preserve the previous message and routing reference when rollback or audit is required.
