Device administration

Device Administration is an inventory of devices that have already registered with TEKControl. It is available to site administrators and higher roles, but not limited administrators.

This page does not create, provision, reassign, deactivate, or delete devices. Those operations belong to the device's registration, deployment, or support process. Within this page, the only editable value is the device's display name.

Filter the inventory

Choose a client and site to scope the grid. The available choices are restricted to the current administrator's assignments, and inactive sites are excluded.

Selecting a client refreshes the site list and the grid. All Sites shows devices for the active sites available in the current client or administrative scope. Select Refresh after an external registration or device update when the new information is not yet visible.

Read the grid

The grid can display:

  • device name;
  • device UID;
  • created date;
  • last device-login date;
  • last recorded login user;
  • IMEI;
  • phone number;
  • make;
  • model; and
  • firmware.

Created and last-login dates are converted from UTC to the device site's configured time zone. Blank values mean TEKControl has no value recorded for that field; they do not necessarily prove that the device lacks the corresponding hardware or activity.

Open the three-dot menu and select View, or double-click the row, to inspect the complete displayed record. See Device details.

Export the grid

Select Export to download the scoped grid without the actions column. Confirm the client and site first.

Device UID, IMEI, phone number, firmware, and user activity can be security-sensitive inventory data. Store the export in an approved location and share it only with authorized deployment or support personnel.

For missing devices, stale login information, wrong site assignments, or hardware-value discrepancies, see Device troubleshooting.
