General site settings and modules¶
Open Edit Site, then use General. The visible sections depend on your role and the site's modules.
Overview¶
Maintain the site name, residential classification, client account, branch, start date, time zone, and business identifiers. Site name, account, branch, start date, and time zone are read-only unless you have Administrator-level authority.
Changing the time zone affects how stored UTC dates are presented and how new local dates are interpreted. Coordinate the change with reporting, integrations, and scheduled activity.
Modules¶
Client Admin-level users can enable assignable modules and set their optional custom report names. Some modules require a higher role and therefore do not appear for every administrator.
Saving rebuilds the site's module assignments from the selected set. Residential sites automatically retain the residential visitor module; a commercial site has that module removed. Disabling a module hides or removes access to its workflows but does not necessarily delete the module's historical data or configuration.
Warning
Review users, navigation, reports, automation, integrations, and field devices before changing modules on a production site.
Address¶
Maintain street address, city, state, ZIP code, and coordinates. Use the map-marker button to choose coordinates when available. Coordinates must use the format accepted by the form; invalid or insufficient decimal values prevent saving.
The site map image is separate from geographic coordinates. See Site content and presentation.
Visitors¶
Available controls can include visitor ePass, ePass footer text, minimum and maximum pass blocks, permanent and temporary visitor limits, party-list maximum, and family-member maximum. Most of these require Global Client Admin-level authority.
Changing a maximum does not automatically correct existing records above the new limit. Test resident and staff workflows after changing visitor policy.
Voicemail¶
Configure automatic visitor creation, whether a voicemail PIN is required, and automatic deletion threshold. These settings affect automated visitor intake and retention; confirm the business policy before enabling deletion.
Branding¶
Set foreground and background colors used by the live panel. Verify contrast and readability after saving. Site logo and site-map uploads are managed in separate tabs.
Advanced¶
Role- and module-dependent controls include:
- hiding the site name and masking PII;
- household-user login and host family or vehicle editing;
- video calling and external host management;
- mobile credential license count and payment-processing fee percentage;
- inactivity notifications;
- automatic visitor watchlist behavior;
- automatic user-account disabling;
- default user, assigned SMS number, sender email, OCR mask, and time-attendance billing.
Threshold fields are validated during save. Payment percentage must be valid, and automatic visitor-watchlist days must meet the form's accepted range. Treat PII masking, account disabling, watchlist automation, and transaction fees as policy changes requiring stakeholder approval.
Select the main Save button to persist General, modules, password policy, notification templates, and newly uploaded site media together. Contacts, pass templates, and limited-admin post orders have their own save actions.
