Register your host account¶
Use the registration invitation sent by your site to create your TEKControl host account. This process is for residents, members, employees, or other authorized occupants whose host record already exists.
Open the invitation¶
Open the registration link from the original email or text message. A valid link fills in the Registration code and prevents it from being changed. It can also prefill the email stored on your host record.
If you received a code without a working link, open the TEKControl registration page and enter the complete code manually. Treat the code and link as private because they are intended to activate your host record.
Note
If TEKControl says the account is already registered, select Back to login. Sign in with the username shown in the message or use the password-reset option instead of registering again.
Choose the sign-in email¶
Enter the email address you want to use as your TEKControl username, then enter it again in Confirm email. TEKControl trims spaces and compares the two entries without regard to uppercase or lowercase letters.
The address must be valid and cannot already be another TEKControl username. When registration succeeds, it also becomes the email stored on your host record.
Create a password¶
Enter the same password in Password and Confirm Password. Password requirements are set by your site and can include:
- a minimum length;
- uppercase and lowercase letters;
- at least one number;
- a special character;
- no spaces; and
- restrictions on common or site-defined words.
If the password is rejected, use the requirements shown in the validation message. Do not reuse a password from another service or share it with site staff.
Create the account¶
Select Create account. TEKControl verifies the registration code, email, confirmation entries, password policy, and username availability.
After creation, TEKControl signs you in and opens the contact-preferences step. The site may also send a configured successful-registration message. Continue with Finish registration setup.
Account creation grants the portal access configured for that host and site. The pages available after registration depend on enabled modules and permissions.
For invalid codes, duplicate usernames, password errors, or an interrupted setup, see Registration troubleshooting.
