Access control schedules

Select Schedule under Physical Access Control Settings. A schedule pairs one or more day or holiday windows with an external controller ID. Access groups and hardware can then refer to that schedule.

Create or edit a schedule

Choose Add New Schedule, or select an existing schedule. Enter:

  • Name, which is required;
  • External ID, selected from the unused values 1 through 500 and required;
  • an optional description.

External IDs are unique within the site. The selector preserves an existing in-range value while editing it. If all 500 IDs are already used, a new schedule cannot be saved until an ID is freed.

Add schedule entries

Select one or more days or supported holidays, choose Start Time and End Time, and select Add Selected Days. Time selectors use 15-minute steps, although existing entries can display seconds.

  • Entries on the same day cannot overlap. An entry that touches an existing endpoint is also treated as overlapping.
  • Non-overlapping selected days are added even when another selected day conflicts; the skipped entries are listed.
  • When End Time is earlier than Start Time, TEKControl splits the window at midnight into two entries: through 23:59:59 on the selected day and from 00:00:00 on the next day.
  • Remove only marks a saved row for removal. Use Undo to restore it before saving.

A schedule must contain at least one unremoved entry when saved. Save Schedule writes the schedule, applies additions and removals, records audit changes, and reloads the selector.

Synchronize schedules

Sync with Controllers is available only when the site has an active VertX controller and the user can modify configuration. Choose a controller and select Sync Now.

The operation sends the site's schedule collection to the selected controller. Save your current edits before synchronizing; unsaved form changes are not a dependable controller source. A success notification confirms the send routine returned successfully, not that every door follows the intended window. Test the result.

Delete a schedule

Deleting a schedule is destructive. Before confirmation, TEKControl counts references from:

  • reader hold-open schedules;
  • input mask schedules;
  • output control schedules;
  • queued controller commands;
  • access-group associations.

If you continue, TEKControl clears the reader, input, output, and queue references, deletes schedule-based access-group associations, and permanently deletes the schedule and its values. This can remove working access behavior from multiple controllers.

Prefer creating and testing a replacement schedule, moving every dependent association, synchronizing, and only then deleting the old schedule.
