Audit and activity history¶
TEKControl provides two different history views in General Administration. Choose the view that matches the question you are investigating.
| Question | Use |
|---|---|
| What did an AllBox do during a call, pass, gate, directory, printing, or connectivity workflow? | AllBox Activity Logs |
| Who created, updated, deleted, assigned, or unassigned an administrative record? | Audit History |
| Which fields changed in a multi-field administrative update? | Audit change details |
Both views are read-only. They help reconstruct an event but do not reverse a configuration change, retry an AllBox action, restore a deleted record, or prove a physical gate moved.
Investigation workflow¶
- Confirm the client, site, record, device, and time zone involved.
- Start with the narrowest relevant history view.
- Widen the date range before concluding that no event exists.
- Capture the timestamp, source, actor or device, identifiers, action, and summary.
- Correlate the record with health, transaction, provider, and application logs when the workflow crosses systems.
- Correct the current configuration through its normal editor; preserve the history rather than attempting to rewrite it.
Access follows the administration screen and client or site scope from which the history is opened. If a history action is unavailable, verify your role, assigned clients and sites, enabled modules, and access to the source record.
